Each project starts with a community, a question, and rigorous fieldwork — and ends with an open, interactive tool that residents, NGOs, and policymakers can use together.

Every MYCU Makerere project follows the same four-stage approach. This consistency is what lets us compare findings across communities and build a network of evidence over time.
We start with conversations — local leaders, VHTs, residents. No data collection happens before community buy-in and IRB approval.
Trained student enumerators conduct household surveys, drug shop assessments, and GPS-tagged hazard mapping using KoboCollect.
All data feeds into a public, interactive portal — risk maps, intervention simulator, monitoring tools. Designed to be used, not just read.
Coordinated interventions tracked on the platform. Coverage tallies update live. The community sees what's been done.
Every contribution — nets, time, or funds — directly enables the next community we work in.
